During construction, Tuckahoe Technology Park is expected to generate more than 1,200 jobs in the construction trades. These jobs will continue through the projected five-to-seven-year period of active development. These include jobs across site preparation, building construction, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and more. 

Once in operation, the Technology Park is expected to employ approximately 350 permanent employees on the site, including network engineers, support specialists, and site operations and maintenance.

Moreover, industry research shows that each permanent data center job creates an average of six additional jobs indirectly in the community across retail, services, and professional trades. 

Independent tax analysis of the potential long-term tax revenue generated by data center development at Tuckahoe Technology Park shows how the County will benefit. 

While precise figures depend on the final buildout and total equipment investment made in conjunction with the project, the analysis indicates real property tax revenue of over $400 million and business personal property tax revenue of over $600 million over the first 20 years of operation. Additional revenue for state, county, and regional government from sales tax streams is expected to top $3 billion in the first 20 years, with more than $500 million of that going to Goochland County.
